Z- The Food and Drug Administration/Jefferson Labs/NCTR located in Jefferson, AR has a requirement to renovate the process area of Building 5A. The areas associated with this space are 5A/110, 110A and 111. Specific tasks included are:
Install all exhaust fans and associated ductwork and electrical
Install all ductwork within the process area
Install vertical wall from top of 10 -0 stainless steel wall to old roof deck
Furnish and install new ceiling, both inside and outside the equipment area
Furnish and install new light fixtures, circuits, and switches
This requirement may also consist of the following 7 alternatives to the existing requirement:
Patch and paint floors using Sherwin Williams recommended product or equal.
Install two sets of double doors A1 and B2 with new frames, doors and hardware. Provide and install signage, specialties and thermal and moisture requirements per specifications.
Patch and repair all walls. New epoxy paint through the described area.
Provide and install electrical panel DPL and DPR as shown on the plans. Transfer all loads to the new panels from MCCI and MCC2 as indicated.
Provide and install new steam and condensate system in penthouse of Building 5A with all associated supports, pressure reducing stations, condensate pumps, and piping as specified
Provide and install new domestic hot water system in the penthouse of Building 5A with all associated supports, piping, pumps and electrical requirements.
Make-up air unit
All interested bidders are urged to visit the project site at the time of the site visit and become familiar with the area. The period of performance will be 180 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The invitation for bids will be available on or about May 12, 2008. Prospective bidders are responsible for downloading the solicitation, attachments and amendments on FBO website www.Fedbizops.gov. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for April 30, 2008. The applicable National Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 238390; small business size standard is $13.0 million. Hard copies will not be provided except to individuals eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act upon request. A bid bond will be required from the successful bidder.

The site-visit scheduled for May 15, 2008 has been cancelled.
A new site-visit date will be scheduled at the time the IFB is issued. The tentative dated for issuance of the IFB is May 23, 2008.
