Description
Scope. This work item describes the requirements for the Contractor to remove corroded galvanized fence and install newer coated fencing on baseball field.
REQUIREMENTS
General. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing corroded sections of galvanized fencing and all associated hardware. Contractor shall install newer coated, weather resistant fencing to match existing coated fencing already installed in one section of the outfield
Fence specifications
Approximate size of baseball field is 300? x 350?.
Approximately 100? of the backfield is fenced in with heavy gauge weather resistant green vinyl coated fencing 10? high. There is a small 30? section of galvanized fence in the center of the existing vinyl coated fence that is used to close in a radio tower. This section of fence shall also be removed and new fence shall be installed using existing corner posts.
The remainder of the fence shall follow the specifications below as closely as allowed by standard fence design;
Backstop area shall be 16?H with a 6? overhang.
1st base line shall have 10?H fence matching and attaching to outfield fence.
3rd base line shall have 10?H fence matching and attaching to outfield fence.
Outfield fence to fill gap as needed 10?H matching existing fence.
Two player gates shall be installed, one on each end of the backstop fence.
One double 16? wide gate for utility vehicles will be installed in the outfield grass area on the 3rd base side.
All fencing must be securely fastened to existing fencing. No openings larger the 3 inches from posts to fencing shall be allowed between any connections and at the ground portion of the fence.
