Description
UEPH Ceiling Repair
1.    SCOPE
1.1.          Scope.    This work item describes the requirements for the Contractor to remove UEPH lobby ceiling, insulate ventilation system, and install new drop ceiling.
2.    APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
(a) State of Florida Building Codes, 2004 Edition with revisions.
3.    REQUIREMENTS
3.1.          General.    The Contractor shall remove existing drywall ceiling in the UEPH Lobby, clean all active mold from all surfaces, spray insulate all duct work, and install new drop ceiling. The ceiling is 8ft high above the floor and covers approximately 600 sq ft. Each process listed here must be inspected and approved by the Contract Officer Technical Representative (COTR).
3.1.1    Notification.    Give written notification to the COTR, forty-eight hours before starting work.
3.1.2    Additional protective covering.    All work areas will be protected to prevent damage to all adjacent walls, equipment and floors.
3.2    Interferences. Interferences include, but are not limited to; overhead wiring and piping.
4.    QUALITY ASSURANCE
4.1    Visual inspection.    After completion of work and at the presence of Coast Guard Inspector, the Contractor will visually inspect the finished product as designated by the Coast Guard Inspector.
4.2    Operational test.    The Contractor shall demonstrate proper operation of all disturbed systems and ensure all ducts do not collect condensation for a minimum of 48 hours before installation of new drop ceiling.
5.    LOGISTICS
5.1.    Lodging.
5.1.1. Contractors are responsible for all contractor and sub-contractor lodging for the duration of the work item.
5.2.      Storage.
5.2.1. Government will furnish one approximately 10x10? storage area designated by the COTR for storage of tools and equipment needed onsite for the duration of the project.
5.3.    Parking and Gate Passes
5.3.1. Coast Guard COTR will designate ?ONE? parking area for a large box style van or smaller vehicle to be used for the duration of the project, other parking spaces can be used temporarily for dropping off or picking up supplies, equipment, or materials on an as needed basis. Additional parking will be available for up to six additional vehicles in the Long Term Parking area near the CG Base entrance beside Building 48.
5.3.2. All vehicles that will drive onboard Government Property must have a valid permit, and insurance. Vehicles must be registered with US Coast Guard Sector Engineering Office prior to any attempts to drive on base.
5.3.3. All personnel that will be working on-board US Coast Guard Property must be registered and assigned passes through the NAVY Security Office. Request for passes must be initiated through the US Coast Guard Sector Engineering Office.
6.    REPORTS
6.1.      Progress Reports and Change Requests.
6.1.1. The contractor shall designate a time once per week to provide progress reports to the Coast Guard COTR.
6.1.2. The contractor shall provide Condition Found Reports either electronic or on paper to the Coast Guard COTR prior to conducting any additional work not described in the scope of work provided.

Timeframe: This job is to be completed as soon as possible, with a commence date on or around 30 January 2008.
