This procurement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The office of NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service located in Juneau, Ak requires a contractor to remove and dispose of existing chainlink sliding gate and existing gate operator. Install new Ornamental Picket sliding gate, new gate operator, new gate posts, new gate controller, new gate guide rails and related hardware to make a complete and functional automatic gate. Contractor to make all necessary adjustments to insure proper operation and function. Gate controllers will be converted from numeric key punch to swipe card. Sliding gate to be Ornamental Picket style, 6' in height, color Regal Blue, as manufactured by Merchant Metals - which includes a uniform zinc galvanizing, chemical phosphate coating, corrosion resistant epoxy powder primer, and polyester powder top coat - or approved equal. Work also includes providing temporary fencing during construction to maintain a secure site during construction and not allow pedestrians or vehicles to access the NOAA property. New gate to follow the existing gate alignment to the greatest extent possible. Underground utilities are known to exist in the area and the Contractor should arrange for underground utility locates prior to beginning work on the project.
