The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
Sole Source - The Government intends to make a non-competitive award to Philips Medical System for the movement of currently installed and active patient monitoring equipment located at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL (NHJ). Relocation of patient monitoring equipment includes movement of the electronic rack systems with supporting UPS units, routers, switches and peripheral cabling, including new cable pulls. In addition to the equipment move, numerous additional OEM line items are required to be purchased to match existing patient monitoring system to allow for minimum impact relating to down time of the patient monitoring ability during the switch over to new equipment location. Currently all patient monitoring equipment located at NHJ is under a service contract agreement with Philips Medical Systems, having a third party vendor initiate the move would void that agreement.
