Description
The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 603-1 (a)(2)(ii) to Honeywell, Aerospace Trading - Phoenix to acquire refurbished radios. Honeywell Aerospace originally produced the radios and is the only company that has a program to refurbish and resell these units. To award any other source would most likely result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. T he NAICS code is 334220 with size standard of 750. Request to procure the following items with government requirements of: VHF COMM TRANSCEIVER, Model no.: RTA-44D, P/N 064-50000-0505; LS RECEIVER, Model no. RIA-35B, P/N 066-50006-1101; VOR/MARKER RCVR, M odel no. RVA-36B, P/N 066-50012-0101; DME INTERROGATOR, Model no. DMA-37B, P/N 066-50013-0303. The proposed contract action is for end items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publicatio n of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may identify interest and capability by responding to this requirement or submit a proposal; however only proposals received within 4 5 days of the date of this publication shall be considered. Each response received will be used at the sole discretion of the Government to determine whether or not to compete the requirement. All respondents must be registered in the Central Contractor Re gistration (CCR), and have a valid DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax Identification Number.
