Synopsis:

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit with eventual award of a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery/requirements type contract for the provision of Radiology Technician Services. Services are to be provided to the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution Morgantown located at 446 Greenbag Road, Morgantown, West Virginia 26501-7159. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months and four - 12 month option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year for the Radiology Technician Services is 832 sessions per year. Sessions will be scheduled at the mutual agreement of the Government and the contractor. Sessions will be scheduled normally between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. A session will equal one (1) hour and will generally be scheduled in 5 hour blocks, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and six hours on Fridays, excluding Federal Holidays. The facility is expected to require an average of 64 sessions per month. The successful contractor shall provide Radiology Technician Services consistent with community standards. Services will be performed on individuals who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The solicitation will be made available on or about September 5, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 26, 2008. The anticipated date of award is November 29, 2008. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621512 Radiologic laboratory services, medical and the applicable small business standard is $13.5 million. Please ensure CCR registration includes the appropriate NAICS code. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
