BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION ON FILE
The Joint Interoperability Testing Command has a requirement for the purchase of an Ultra Wide Band based Real Time Location System (RTLS) solution. Using UWB technology for its extremely fine timing resolution, the system operates by triangulating the position of an active tag from the highly accurate, time-of-flight measurements made by a set of remote receivers. The UWB technology must:
Read ranges in excess of 200 meters (650 feet) line-of-sight, and better than 50 meters (160 feet) indoors through multiple obstructions
Real time location accuracies better than 30 cm (12") - 10 cm (4") with averaging
Battery life of up to 10 years even at one tag transmission per second
Unexcelled performance in multipath environments
Immunity to ISM and WiFi interference
Microminiature tag sizes (0.125 cu. in. and 10 grams)
Tags certified UL1604 for use in hazardous locations.
