Bid Description:
The Vermont Department of Education (VTDOE) is soliciting bids through a simplified bid process for an individual to serve as the Higher Education Liaison for the Educator Quality Division.
The Higher Education Liaison shall perform the following functions:
1.Advise Vermont € s institutions of higher education and their educator preparation programs on how to build the capacity to meet the revised Results Oriented Program Approval (ROPA-R) standards.
2.Advise Vermont € s institutions of higher education and their educator preparation programs on how to meet the Level I Licensure Portfolio requirements.
3.Facilitate ROPA Design Team meetings to evaluate and revise the ROPA-R Review Process in preparation for the next round of ROPA-R visits to institutions of higher education.
4.Facilitate Design Team meetings in order to begin the process of developing a ROPA evaluation process for alternate routes to certification.
5.Facilitate Design Team meetings in order to begin the process of developing a Level I Licensure Portfolio for non-teaching candidates.
6.In collaboration with the ROPA Consultant, create and train teams for ROPA-R program approval visits.
7.Provide the Department of Education € s ROPA Consultant with copies of all written correspondence, including emails, and summaries of phone calls on matters pertaining to the ROPA process.
8.Collaborate with the ROPA Consultant on all matters pertaining to program approval.
