Frederick County public schools provide a first-class education for 40,000 students in a rapidly growing county that is geographically Maryland's largest. 63 schools serve students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in a diverse array of cities, suburban and rural communities.One of the ways FCPS achieves this goal is through a district-level and school-level targeted email service Find Out First to facilitate communication with parents, students, community and staff.
With the outstanding support of its school Board, FCPS provides the technology infrastructure that delivers critical information to parents and the community through Web sites and other software including grade information through Pinnacle and curriculum information through FCPSteach.net.The FCPS Find Out First targeted-email system has 22,000 subscribers and was recently featured in the national publication PRincipal Communicator as an example of best practices in school-to-home two-way communication.The current vendor for the Find Out First service has changed hands, and their staff has advised us that the company will provide no further enhancements to the service nor correct problems that have developed. To continue to meet our public email communication needs, FCPS seeks a vendor that can provide reliable service and has the capability to meet development needs as they arise.
