This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NASA/KSC has a requirement for multiple RF Amplifiers and additional hardware asdescribed in the attached SF1449.All units will be shipped to the address below:Transportation OfficerNASA / Kennedy Space CenterJ-BOSC WAREHOUSE, BUILDING M6-744KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL 32899The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334220/750employees respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for thisprocurementAll responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Questions regarding this acquisition must be in writing, via e-mail, to Erik C. Whitehillnot later than close of business (COB) July 9, 2008. Telephone questions will not beaccepted. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their owncopy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).Selection and award will be made to that offeror whose offer is the lowest pricetechnically acceptable source. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail toallow evaluation of their offer. (SEE FAR 52.212-1(b)). Offers for the items(s) described above are due by COB July 17, 2008, to NASA-KSC, Attn:Erik C. Whitehill, e-mail: Erik C. Whitehill@nasa.gov and must include, solicitationnumber, FOB destination to KSC, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms,warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identificationof any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (JAN 2006), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial, which is incorporated by reference. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in theclause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall listthe country of origin. FAR 52.212-4 (FEB 2007), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable.
