THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0127 on or about February 15, 2010, for the RECOVERY NFSR #895 Gravel Resurfacing, Crushing & Laydown Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after February 15, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201, however, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This project involves but is not limited to mobilizing equipment; reconditioning of a large section of the Westside Hungry Horse Reservoir Road, NFS Road No. 895, on the Hungry Horse and Spotted Bear Ranger Districts of the Flathead National Forest; quarry development at the Wounded Buck, Mazie, and Airport Quarry sites; the crushing and laydown of crushed aggregate surfacing, with the option for stockpiling additional crushed aggregate at the three quarry sites; and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. PROJECT LOCATION. The work is located on the wesstside of Hungry Horse Reservoir, south of the town of Hundry horse, in Flathead County, Montana. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov or call 888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757 and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. . All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency. The project contemplated under the FedBizOpps synopsis for AG-82B1-S-10-0124, the NFSR #38 RECOVERY Gravel Resurfacing, Crushing & Laydown project, has been combined with the project contemplated under this synopsis. When uploaded, this solicitation will be a combination of the two projects which will provide for multiple awards.
