Synopsis:

The Navy intends to procure 76 (seventy-six) Integration Kits (P/N RD-681B/UNH) to upgrade the currently fielded RD-681A/UNH recorder configuration.


This synopsis provides a notice of the Government s intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with Adaptive Digital Systems, Inc. (ADS), 20322 SW Acacia Street, Newport Beach, CA 92660. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and description is: CLIN 0001 RD-681/UNH Upgrade Kits Part number RD-681B/UNH (76 Each). This equipment will be executed on RD-681A recorder-reproducers currently delpoyed within the United States Coast Guard. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Adaptive Ditigal Systems is the only one responsible source who can meet the government s minimum requirements. Adaptive Digital System retains proprietary hardware and software components for which the Government does not possess adequate data/rights to competitively award this acquisition. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a response in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 14 July 2008, 3:30 P.M. EST. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The government reserves the right to process the procurement as a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
