Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Fort Worth Western Currency Facility (WCF) is seeking information from small business sources capable of providing management and operation of guided tour services, a retail sales shop, visitor center and visitor transportation and maintenance in a high security area at the WCF facility located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Forth Worth, TX.In general terms, the contractor shall be required to provide all labor and management of the transfer station, information desk, and visitors to and from the transfer station via shuttle vehicles that the vendor shall provide. The contractor shall provide management of guided tours, which shall include guiding visitors through exhibits and the retail sales shop. The contractor shall include maintaining inventory, product marketing, display setup, conducting daily public sales, reconciliation and deposits of funds and the management of possible future sales, management of the snack and rest area and the monitoring of three (3) Automatic Teller Machines (ATM). The North American Industrial Classification System Codes are 713990 for the tour guide, 485410 for school and employee bus transportation, 453220 for retail shop, and 487110 for scenic transportation with a corresponding $6 million dollar in average annual sales receipts for each of the aforementioned NAICS codes. This announcement is a Sources Sought Notice only and is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT an RFP. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Interested vendors are encouraged to respond to the Contracting Specialist with a Letter of Interest reflecting their company name, points of contact, TIN, DUNS #, CCR Registration Number, Vets 100 Number. If applicable, a brief statement of capabilities and relevant corporate background in the (4) NAICS listed. Submit electronic responses to Richard.Hutchinson@bep.treas.gov.It is requested that all responses be submitted no later than April 4, 2008 12:00pm EST. Contractors interested in this requirement may register as an interested vendor at the FEDBIZOPPS web site listed above. A list of sources will be compiled from interested small businesses responding to this announcement and a list of sources provided by the Project Manager to include reputable sources know by the BEP and those with whom the BEP has done business in the past. In addition, small business sources identified by the Small Business Specialist obtained from the Treasury Small Business Database will be solicited along with sources identified from the U.S. Small Business Administration Database (www.pro.net.sba.gov). A solicitation will be issued electronically on Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) web site at www.eps.gov on a later date to be determined (TBD). It is anticipated/intended that a firm fixed priced type contract with a base year period of performance and four one-year option periods.
