Title: Technical and Management Support for Health Promotion Activities 2008 (TAMS 2008) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coordinating Center for Health Promotion (CoCHP), which consists of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, and the National Office of Public Health Genomics, is seeking proposals to obtain essential services for the technical and support needs of CoCHP. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 541690: Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. The technical support needed includes: (1) Policy Assessments: Analysis of major policy issues related to health promotion that are being considered by CDC. The assessments will provide information to contribute to internal decision-making and mandated reports. (2) Program Assessments/Evaluation Studies: Studies that focus on current health promotion programs and defined issues or problems. The studies will provide information for internal decision-making. (3) Conduct Research and Demonstration Projects: Support services in organizing, planning, conducting and reporting on research and demonstration projects on health promotion. The projects will require accurate design, data collection, analysis and interpretation of health promotion related topics. (4) Consultation and Technical Assistance: Expert consultation and technical assistance in a wide variety of topics related to health promotion. Multiple awards (4 or more) are contemplated for cost-type, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts. Individual task orders for specific services will be competed among the multiple award contractors. This will be a performance based contract. The anticipated period of performance is 60 months. Evaluation criteria include: (1) Scientific and Technical Approach; (2) Management Plan and Personnel; and (3) Corporate Capability/ Experience. This requirement will be issued as a full and open competition. There is a partial 8(a) Business Development set-aside that accompanies this solicitation: 2008-N-10240.
