Synopsis:

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following items: 35 each - RF amplifier's, part number: HD18089-10NINJ. This requirement is sole sourced to HD Communications Corp., 2180 Fifth Ave, Unit 4, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779, as they are the only known source to provide an amplifier with the wide input range (10mW to 500mW) and fixed output of 10Watts with an outgoing signal as well as incoming one. This amplifier is designed for frequency hopping spread spectrum radio modems. The amplifier is rugged and environmentally sealed and proved to work in high EMI environment on the US Navy frigates, cruisers and destroyers. The HD18089-10NINJ amplifier was tested and qualified to work with the existing electrical system. Any firms believing that they can provide the amplifiers may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product without causing programmatic hardship.
