Contracting Office Address
Department of Housing and Urban Development, OCPO, Western (Denver) Field Contracting Operations, Denver Operations Branch, NFW, 1670 Broadway 23rd Floor, Denver, CO, 80202-4801, UNITED STATES
Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY.    The Department of Housing and Urban Development?s Office of Public and Indian Housing is seeking information from GSA MOBIS 874.4 vendors regarding game based learning techniques that can be applied to asset management.    The Department provides operating funds to over 3100 public housing agencies (PHAs) nationally that own and operate rental housing for eligible low income families.    With the publication of the Operating Fund rule on September 19, 2005, the Department is changing the business model for the public housing program from a PHA-centric model to an asset management model based on project based funding, accounting, budgeting, management and assessment.    PHAs require technical assistance and training to build the knowledge and skills needed to implement and administer the asset management business model.    To the maximum extent possible, the goal will be to provide training that can be accessed by PHAs on an as-needed basis.
It is anticipated that some or all of the training might be appropriate for game based learning.    The Department plans to use the GSA MOBIS 874.4 schedule to secure this contract.    Therefore, the Department is interested in receiving information and examples from vendors about their products and training concepts for adults to determine what game based training resources and services are available.      Submissions should be no more than 20 pages.    Telephone calls will not be accepted.
