Description
The U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has a requirement for Detention and Transportation Services for the Florence Processing Center in Florence Arizona, El Centro Processing Center in El Centro California, and San Pedro Processing Center, in San Pedro California. The requirement involves providing and maintaining all management, supervision, manpower, training, transportation, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, and pre-employment screenings necessary to provide armed, unarmed detention and transportation services, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for the three (3) processing centers.
ICE intends to acquire these services by awarding a single or multiple awards through an unrestricted basis (full and open competition). The anticipated contract(s) will be Firm Fixed Price Requirement Contract(s) for a Base One-Year Period and Four One-Year Option Periods. The NAICS Code is 561612 with Small Business Size Standard of $17million. The solicitation will be published on or about February 15, 2008 with a tentative proposal due date of thirty (30) days thereafter. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available therefore, no written, telephone or facsimile request for the documents will be accepted. The distribution of the solicitation and all future information of the acquisition will be accomplished solely through postings at the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The FedBizOpps site provides downloading instructions. A pre-proposal conference is planned on or about February 25, 2008, with scheduled site visits of the processing centers on February 26 through February 29, 2008. Services are expected to commence immediately on or about July 1, 2008.
No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement, follow-up information requested and travel costs to the pre-solicitation conference and site visits. No further notice will be issued, therefore it is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the website for any changes posted and ensure that they have the up-to date copy of the acquisition.
