Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Pharmacy Technician Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex,     located at 846 N.E. 45th Terrace, Coleman, FL 33521.     The Contractor shall be responsible for the commercial practices of a pharmacy technician.     Services to be provided include:     interpret and prepare prescription orders, assist with ordering, enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer, print prescription labels, inventory medication and supplies, file records, provide medication related patient education, and; maintain a clean and sanitized work area.     Contractor qualifications include:     high school diploma or equivalent GED; minimum age of 18, and; six months experience in the pharmaceutical field, or enrollment and participation of at least 30 days in a pharmacy technician training program.     This requirement is for five (5) individual Pharmacy Technicians to each provide an estimated 1440 one hour sessions per year.     Total maximum estimated quantity/sessions to be provided will be 7,200 one hour sessions per year.     The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about December 20, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is January 22, 2008. Anticipated date of award is February 29, 2008.     This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
