Synopsis:

Paramedic Services. Provide one nationally certified paramedic 24 hours a day, seven days a week to work/drive with a government provided, nationally certified EMT-Basic in a government provided ambulance to provide patient transport services required for Government beneficiaries. Provides full emergency patient transport at Sheppard AFB and associated housing areas on Sheppard AFB. Emergency response and transport services will be coordinated via the 911 operators at SAFB Fire Department. Paramedic will serve as primary medical response for after duty hours in-flight emergencies and related Sheppard AFB flightline emergencies. Care shall cover the range of paramedic and ambulance services provided in the local community to include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and treatment of physiological incidents (i.e., decompression sickness (DCS). Participate in 80th Flying Training Wing and 82nd Medical Group exercises. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in the Performance Work Statement, Occupational Safety and Health Organization and professional standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Texas Department of Health?s Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. On sight response shall be within eight minutes after request.
