Synopsis:

The U.S. Forest Service, Harper?s Ferry Corps located in Harper?s Ferry, West Virginia has a requirement for Medical Services. This requirement for commercial items is being procured in accordance with Subpart 13.5, "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" and Parts 12 and 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov (FAR 52.204-7) and must have completed electronic representations and certifications on the ORCA database located at http://orca.bpn.gov (FAR 52.204-8) to be considered responsive to this solicitation. The awarded contractor shall provide medical services including, but not limited to a routine initial physical examination and definite health history of all students, including HCT of all male students as well as routine laboratory tests and x-rays 24-hour emergency coverage to the Great Onyx Job Corps is also required. All employees providing medical care services will be working with young people ages 16-24 years old of varying ethnic and socioeconomic background. Great Onyx Job Corps will provide facilities, equipment, and all supplies on this contract. The contractor is to provide quality services, timeliness, as well as provide good customer service. The project site for Medical Services is at the Harper?s Ferry Job Corps located at 146 Buffalo Road, Harper?s Ferry, West Virginia. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract for this requirement. The start of work date for the base year of services under this contract is July 1, 2008 and will run through June 30, 2009. This contract will have four option years that may be exercised at the option of the Government. A contract may be awarded with or without discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. This project is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 621112. The small business size standard is $9 million. All other requirements are included in the solicitation, which shall be posted on the FEDBIZOPPS website for downloading. The estimated price range for the base year of this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. The solicitation will be available for download at no cost at www.fedbizopps.gov. We anticipate the solicitation to be issued on or about April 18, 2008 however this date may change. We invite all interested parties to check frequently for a possible change to this date on the Fedbizopps website. It is anticipated that award may be issued on or about June 6, 2008.
