Synopsis:

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate sole source commercial item procurement with GeroConcepts, Inc. 10410 S. Ocean Drive, #1106, Jensen Beach, FL, 34957. Through recent supplemental funding, the Medical Foster Home (MFH) initiative shall expand from three to 33 facilities by the end of FY08. This expansion is possible through the diligent work of many VA staff, however, several key aspects of program development shall benefit from outside consultation. The period of performance shall be for 12 months. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 12 Noon, September 9, 2008 EST to: Robert.Headen@VA.gov or Fax: 757-728-3132. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
