Synopsis:

Description of Requirement: The Harper?s Ferry Corps Center has a requirement for Dental Services for its students. Services shall include wellness visits, problem focused exams, and restorative services. This requirement is advertised in accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov (FAR 52.204-7) and must have completed electronic representations and certifications on the ORCA database located at http://orca.bpn.gov (FAR 52.204-8) to be considered responsive to this solicitation. Responses to the solicitation must include proof of certification, licensing or accreditation in the State of West Virginia for all employees. Other state licensure can be considered with appropriate documentation. The project site for Dental Services is at the Harper?s Ferry Job Corps located at 146 Buffalo Road in Harper?s Ferry, West Virginia, 25425. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract for this requirement. The start of work date for the base year of services under this contract is July 1, 2008 and will run through June 30, 2009. This contract will have four option years that may be exercised at the option of the Government. A contract may be awarded with or without discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. This project is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 621210 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. The estimated price range for the base year of this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. All other specifications, terms, conditions, and other pertinent information for this requirement will be included in the solicitation. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. The solicitation will be available for download at no cost at www.fedbizopps.gov . A Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued by this office to meet this requirement. We anticipate the solicitation to be issued on or about April 18, 2008 however this date may change. We invite all interested parties to check the FedBizopps (www.fedbizopps.gov) website frequently for a possible change to this date.
