This is a Sources Sought Notice for planning purposes only. The 10th Contracting Division is conducting preliminary market research in order to identify companies capable of performing full medical emergency patient transport services at the United States Air Force Academy, CO. This notice is not a request for proposal, and quotations or offers will not be accepted at this time. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all personnel, labor, supervision, vehicles, supplies and equipment to perform the required services. The contractor shall be responsible for providing a full range of emergency medical technician, paramedic, and ambulance services at the United States Air Force Academy in accordance with local and State of Colorado regulations and protocols. Performance shall be in accordance with the requirements contained in the Statement of Work (SOW), professional standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and the Colorado State, Department of Public Health and Environment, Division of Emergency Medical Services. The contractor shall be expressly authorized to perform ambulance services in El Paso County, Colorado. The contractor shall provide stand-by coverage to perform emergency patient transport within Air Force Academy boundaries, 365 days per year, 24 hours per day and will participate in Air Force Academy exercises, special events, sporting and athletic events, specialized training, and in-flight emergencies. Contractors shall be required to respond to emergency medical requests and patient transport within eight (8) minutes after notification to any location within the United States Air Force Academy boundaries. The United States Air Force Academy is located approximately ten miles north of downtown Colorado Springs, CO and 60 miles south of Denver, CO on interstate 25. The Air Force Academy encompasses approximately 18,500 acres and includes a total of approximately 7600 military, cadet, civilian and contractor personnel. The Academy has 311 industrial buildings, 712 general/administrative buildings and 425 family housing units located with its boundaries.

For purposes of this notice, The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621910, Ambulance Services. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All companies capable of providing these services are invited to respond to this notice. All information provided to the government as a
result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The government is not liable for any expenses incurred by a company and will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Interested companies shall respond to this notice in writing and provide their company name, DUNS, Cage code, a description of their company's business size, business status (e.g. small business, small disadvantaged business, service disabled veteran, HUB zone), anticipated teaming arrangements, a description of their company capabilities, a description of past or on-going services provided under contract, to either government and commercial organizations to include contract size, magnitude, contact points for each example provided (name of the point of contact, address, e-mail and telephone number. Interested companies are encouraged to submit any information which they deem appropriate to describe their capabilities to perform the services addressed herein. Written responses are limited to not more than 10 single-sided pages. This is to notify interested contractors that the soliciation for Ambulance Service at the Air Force Academy will be issued on or about 24 April 2008. Please monitor FBO for the solicitation. The new contract must begin on 1 June 2008, therefore, there will be a short turn around time to submit proposals and there will be no transition period. Contractors must be prepared to begin services on 1 June 2008.
