Synopsis:

The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with American Academy of Pediatrics, located on 141 Northwest Point Blvd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. for commercial services, to publish a peer-reviewed journal supplement entitled, Infant Feeding and Care Practices in the United States: Results from the Infant Feeding Practices Study II data. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Period of Performance: through September 30th, 2009. This award will be made 5 days after the date of this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541870 and the Business Size Standard is 6.5 Million dollars in assets. The FDA office building is located at 5100 Paint Branch Prkw., College Park, MD 2074. Acceptance shall be performed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the address listed above. Vendors may identity in writing their interest and capability in response to this requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received no later than the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
