OBJECTIVES
At the Town of Cary we focus every day on enriching the
lives of our citizens by creating an exceptional environment and providing
exemplary services that enable our community to thrive and prosper.
To
help ensure that our citizens have timely access to accurate and complete
governmental information, the Cary Town Council created a government access
channel in 1998, which is today received by about 60,000 households that
subscribe to Time Warner Cable throughout western Wake County. A qualifying PEG channel under State of
North Carolina rules, Cary TV 11 operates 24/7 and includes live, satellite,
prerecorded, and character-generated programming (see the Cary TV 11 section
of www.townofcary.org).
Prudent
management of public resources dictates that Cary TV 11 equipment be regularly
maintained and outdated equipment replaced so that the channel operations are
never interrupted due to circumstances within the Town s control. To this end, the Town has a 10-year Capital Improvements
Plan to fund equipment replacement and operations funding to support necessary
maintenance and repair.
REQUIREMENTS
Firm s minimum professional
qualifications must include:
