Project consists of scarification, pulverization and compaction of existing chipseal on approximately 5 miles of road on National Forest land. Project location is on the Shasta McCloud Management Unit, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Elements of work are placement of 5 inches of crushed aggregate and a double chipseal. Additional work that may be awarded is 1 inch of base rock, shoulder striping and fog seal. Price range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Estimated start date is June 20, 2008 with a contract time of 45 calendar days. Solicitation will be Request for Proposal requiring both price and technical proposals responding to the criteria as stated in the solicitation. Solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about May 12, 2008.
