Pinkham Notch Parking Lot Reconstruction on the White Mountain National Forest
Pinkham Notch Parking Lot Reconstruction: Existing asphalt is to be planed and recycled on site. The existing entrance shall be reconstructed and paved with asphalt pavement. Parking lot wings shall receive additional crushed aggregate for leveling and shaping.There is a need for a 50' buffer at south end to protect the Ellis River. An accessible trail with major culvert will be constructed from the NH Route 16 pedestrian bridge to the south end of the parking lot. Permanent barriers shall be installed to control parking in authorized areas only. Designated accessible parking shall be signed, paved, & striped. Additional snow storage areas shall be designated. Culverts to be installed/replaced as necessary.
Location:
The project is located at the Appalachian Mountain Club's Pinkahm Notch Visitor's Center on the west side of NH Route 16 in Pinkham Notch approximately 12 miles north of Jackson, NH and 10 miles south of Groham, NH. This project and parking lot serves both the Pinkham Notch Visitor's Center as well as the Tuckerman Ravine/Cutler River Drainage Recreation Area of the White Mountain National Forest.
Government Price Range:
Between $250,000 and $500,000
Award is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and therefore will be advertised for full and open competition.
