THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY FOR THE U.S. ARMY MEDICAL MATERIEL DEVELOPMENT     ACTIVITY (USAMMDA), FORT DETRICK, MARYLAND. USAMMDA is seeking a commercial pharmaceutical firm that is currently capable of supplying the drug sodium stibogluconate     (SSG), for injection, manufactured under the current good manufacturing practices (GMP) prescribed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.     Manufacturing must come from a source demonstrating a documented history of current GMP compliance and a clear ability to supply finished, injectable pharmaceuticals to the Department of Defense. A shor t fact sheet (less than 3 pages) in font Times New Roman, font style regular 12 pitch, is requested that summarizes the capabilities of the supplier in completing the requirements identified above. No reimbursement will be made of any costs to provide info rmation in response to this announcement or any follow up information requests. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced under a separate announcement. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Each response must reference the sources sought title. All proprietary information should be marked as such. Responses will be held confidential if requested. Narratives should be e-mailed to Mr. Philip Huff at Philip.Huf f1@us.army.mil.     Telephonic inquiries shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 15 April 2008, by 4:00 P.M. Eastern Day-Light Savings Time. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUESTED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
