Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is VS470574 and incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2005-23. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS Code/Size Standard is 423830/500. This solicitation is being issued as a Full and Open Business request. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is interested in obtaining the following: 1) 89 each- Pallet rack upright (end piece) 48' DX120" H with 3' x 1 5/8" column posts 9front and back) 19, 380 capacity; 2) 266 each-Beams 108" W, with connectors welded to them so that they can attach into the upright frame. Capacity of 5,373 per pair evenly distributed ; 3) 80 each- Beams 54" with connectors welded to them so that they can attach into the upright frame. Capacity of 4,430 per pair evenly distributed; ;4) 306 each-Wire decks 48" d x 52" w with 3 channels-Capacity of 2, 330 lbs each; 5) 1 job- Installation of pallet racks and wire decks. Quotes should include all line items and quantities, including shipping. Delivery/Installation of requested items is to NIEHS, South Campus, 111 TW Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Offeror should quote FOB Destination. The following provision applies to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors. There are no additional addenda. FAR Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial with offers. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following paragraphs of 52.212-5 apply: (a) and (1; 5;16-19)-(26-27)(29)(34).
