Description
Questions in regard to the solicitation:
Question: The RFQ requirement states that the "Number of simultaneous users would be one (1) simultaneous user for all titles," however, it also requires that "site licenses for all online subscriptions will be required for the entire university with remote access at anytime." In addition to the statement, "Where online subscriptions are offered one user at one machine version will not be useful to the university. The online subscriptions must allow all users on campus to access the titles and users not on campus."
Answer: One simultaneous user is one type of institutional license and a site license is a different type. Different licenses are offered by different companies. When a company uses a concurrent or simultaneous user model, we want one concurrent user. Most publishers use the site license model, based on user population. We know that the same company will not offer both licensing models, this was meant to be an either/or
option.
Questions
1. Will these subscriptions be new or are they renewals?
Answer: They are renewals
2. If they are renewals, do you know whose name they are currently subscribed?
Answer: Under USUHS LRC
3. Online journals need an e-mail address to complete. Do you know whose e-mail applies to each journal?
Answer: gjacobs@lrcm.usuhs.mil or gretchen.jacobs.civ@lrcm.usuhs.mil (Please do not contact end-user)
4. In the information section of the bid, the information leads me to believe some of the online accesses may be university wide. There is a significant cost difference in a
single online access and a multi-user access. Do you know if this is applicable?
Answer: Yes, university wide is what we want
5. How do I submit the information?
Answer: Please look within the solicitation all that information is included. You can submit it via email by the close time or by mail, but it has to be post dated by close of the response date which is February 8, 2008.
