The purpose of this amendment is to answer questionssubmitted by interested offerors.
ROUND TWO - Questions and Answers
Q1) Please confirm the submission address as it isdifferent than the issued by and administered byaddress.
A1) Linda A. Somuah, Contract Specialist, Bureau ofIndian Affairs, Division of Acquisitions and PropertyManagement, 2051 Mercator Drive, Suite 151N, Reston,VA 20191.
Q2) Will we be able to have remote access to theservers via VPN or some other method?
A2) No, we do not have VPN access available.
Q3) Can any work be done remotely at contractor space- we ask since there are tight deadlines for delivery,we may need to work more than 8 hours a day and someweekends?
A3) No, we do not have VPN access available.
Q4) Does the govt. have a hardware load balancer suchas (F5 Big IP or Cisco CSS) to load balance theweb/apps servers?
A4) Yes, we are planning to have either a CitrixNetscaler or F5 Big IP.
Q5) What are the types of authentication schemes to beimplemented?
A5) OAM needs to be set up to authenticate usersagainst the content management system and theMicrosoft SharePoint. In addition, OAM will need tobe integrated with the rest of the Oracle software inthe solution when possible. For WebCenter, componentssuch as Wiki and Discussion forums will need to beintegrated.
Q6) Will we need to interface with Web or ApplicationServers?
A6) Most of the Oracle software within the solution(except the database) will run on top of Oracle'sapplication server. Oracle HTTP servers will need tobe deployed (separate from the app servers) to serveweb pages generated in WebCenter. In addition, thesolution needs to interact with SharePoint via OAM.
IN REFERENCE TO 2.1.1 INSTALLATION OF ORACLE DATABASEWITH RAC:
Q1) Does the govt. want RAC installed in DEV, TEST,and PROD?
A1) We will only need Oracle Database with RAC in Testand Prod. Develop will have an Oracle Databasewithout RAC.
IN REFERENCE TO 2.1.2 ORACLE ACCESS MANAGERINSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION:
Q1) How many Active Directories will we need tointerface with?
IN REFERENCE TO 2.1.9 PROVIDE LINUX ADMINISTRATIONSUPPORT:
Q1) Will we need to provide SAN support also? If so,What is the make and model of the SAN?
A1) The chosen contractor will need to installdatabases (application data, WebContent Management forWebCenter, the Application Server Infrastructure andOracle Web Content Database application data) on theNetApp SAN deployed in both the test and theproduction environment.
