Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.     This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals     are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The US Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE), Pentagon, on behalf of Office of the Inspector General, Department of Defense, intends to procure 150 Task C hairs under full and open competition procedures.     Interested small businesses who are certified and qualified as a small business concern in NAICS code 423210 with a size standard of 100 M are encouraged to submit their capabilities package outlining thei r experience.     If at least two responsible small business concerns are determined by the government to be capable of performance this requirement at a fair market price     based on an evaluation of the capabilities packages submitted by 29 Feb 08, the requir ement will be solicited as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns.     If capability packages are not received from at least two responsible small business concerns by the response date or if the government determines that no small businesses are capabl e of performing this requirement based upon an evaluation of the capabilities packages submitted, this requirement will be solicited under full and open competition procedures.     To assist us in maintaining a list of interested small business offertory for this potential procurement, please provide your company name, a point of contact, address, phone number and business size under the above NAICS code, to the POC for this procurement Johnny Redford.       Under this requirement, the contractor will deliver 150 task chairs and remove all packing material/debris. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated.       The period Performance will be within 30 days of date of award.     All responsible sources may submit a proposal(s), which will be considered.       No paper copies     of the solicitation will be issued.           No solicitation mailing list will be complied.       Contractor is responsible for all costs for producing and mailing their proposal.      

1.     DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS.    

     a.     150 ergonomic task chairs     with the following specifications, as a minimum:
               (1)     Equivalent/comparable, in style and construction, to the Humanscale
                         Liberty Task chair and/or the Haworth Zody Task Chair.
          
               (2)     Black (or Dark Gray) in color

               (3)     Mesh back and foam fabric seat

               (4)     Adjustable height of seat and armrest

               (5)     Back and lumbar support

               (6)     Standard warranty.

     b.     Chairs are to be delivered and installed at 400 Army N avy Drive, Arlington, VA.

     c.       All boxes, packing material and debris shall be removed after installation.

                  
2.     PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE.     Within 30 days of contract award date.
