The California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR) is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide consultation services to teachers and parents regarding students attending CSDR who may be experiencing fine motor and/or sensory integration difficulties. Duties will include, but are not limited to: observation of students in classroom settings; consultation with teachers to provide strategies and suggestions for classroom accommodations; fine motor and sensory integration evaluation of students when requested; assistive technology evaluation of students to determine needs when requested; preparation and presentation of written reports to student Individual Education Plan (IEP) teams of findings from evaluations; participation in Individual Educational Plan (IEP) team meetings when necessary; act as a member of the CSDR Assessment Team when necessary. The Occupational Therapist must have a working knowledge and use of American Sign Language (ASL). |
