1. The 42 Contracting Squadron (42 CONS) at Maxwell AFB is seeking vendors to quickly supply oils and lubricants in case of local or on-base emergencies, and to participate in exercises involving possible emergency situations.

2. BACKGROUND: The 42 CONS Unit Control Center (UCC) supports Maxwell AFB during emergencies and exercises by utilizing local businesses to quickly supply necessary items. These items may include diesel fuel, gasoline, and various other lubricants and additives. Since the needs for these will be immediate during an emergency, the suppliers should be located in Montgomery, AL or the surrounding area. The intention is to include the suppliers on a vendor list for potential support during emergencies. During exercises, the suppliers will only be requested to provide price quotes in the case of emergencies, but not to deliver any items or perform any services, unless a real-world need develops during the exercise.

3. A supplier should be able to provide some or all of the following items:

  1. Gasoline - 87, 89 & 93 Octane
  2. Diesel Fuel
  3. Engine Oils
  4. Motor Oils
  5. Hydraulic Oils
  6. Industrial Oils and Greases
  7. Transmission Oils
  8. Kerosene
  9. Anti-Freeze/Coolants
  10. Fuel Additives
  11. Other Automotive Fluids

4. Inclusion on the vendor list would not constitute any type of obligation on the Government's part or vendor's part. It is merely a tool for quick communication during emergency or exercise operations. Any order or contract that results from a request for supplies will be issued through the proper contracting process.

5. Please submit the following information with your response to this Sources Sought Synopsis:
