Synopsis:

The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following SoftArtisan software license items on a sole source basis: Item 1, XLWEW-S6, OfficeWriter for Excel Enterprise Edition - Production License (Quantity 4), Item 2, XLWEW-T6, OfficeWriter for Excel Enterprise Edition-Test/Staging License (Quantity 2), Item 3, Gold Support Subscription (Quantity 6). The items required are sole sourced to SoftArtisan; no other items are acceptable. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12.5 and FAR Part 13. The closing date will be 2:00PM Eastern Time on 28 August 2008 with an anticipated award date of 2 September 2008. The GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE.
