Nature of Work/Contract Title: Nutritional consultation services from a zoo animal nutritionist or nutritionist group.
Description of Work: The Minnesota Zoo is seeking to acquire nutritional consultation services from a zoo animal nutritionist or nutritionist group with at least 5 years experience overseeing development of zoo animal nutrition plans. Proposals are being sought from parties interested in providing nutritional consultation services on an annual basis for the period from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009 with a probable extension of the contract for an additional year. During the first year of the contract the areas of the collection animal diets to be focused on will include approximately 15 hoofstock species; 95 bird species of 13 orders, 8 primate species and roughly 10 miscellaneous other small/medium sized mammal species.
