The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Nixon Artifact Inventory, Packing and Transfer Services. Work consists of Artifact Inventory, Cataloging, Packing Services and Artifact Transfer Services. The contract is estimated to be awarded for a Base performance Period of 12 months and one twelve-month Option Periods. These unique character of the artifacts collection and varying sizes requires knowledge of a wide range of artifacts type including but not limited to ceramics, crafts, decorative objects, framed prints, photographs, images, furniture, glass, jewelry, metals, paintings, personnel items, posters, and other flat paper-based materials, pottery, sculpture, textiles, wooden objects and composition objects from the holdings of the National Archives. Expert care of all historical objects is a primary concern of the Government. As a result the contractor must understand the publicity about the transfer of sensitive and classified artifacts that might increase the possibility of loss due to disclosure. The Contractor will also be required to observe special handling requirements for all original artifacts Tasks include Artifact Inventory, Cataloging and packing services and transfer services . This will be a firm fixed price contract with incorporated Department of Labor wage determinations. The requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 484121. Copies of the RFP, which will be available on or about July 30 , 2008, may be obtained through the Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the Offerors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the Federal Businees Opportunities website are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those Contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone or fax RFP request will be accepted.
