The United States Secret Service (USSS) intends to acquire materials and services for custom modification of one of its Government owned vehicles. The awardee will acquire and install Commercial Off-The-Shelf items on a Chevrolet C5500 Series Vehicle. Additionally, the awardee will fabricate and install customized elements in the vehicle as well as painting specified areas. Efforts will include, but not be limited to, procuring and installing the following: a chassis extension kit; an aluminum van body; a lift gate; an electric crane; and other such items to be specified.
This acquisition will be a Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 336211 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Competition will be restricted to firms with a fabrication and repair facility in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
