Synopsis:

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is soliciting proposals for multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, fixed price contracts for mobile x-ray van mounted non-intrusive inspection systems. The requirement will be for one mobile configuration. These imaging systems shall support CBP s mission for interdiction of incoming contraband; like weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, and outgoing currency and weapons through examination of bulk cargo, passenger baggage and international mail parcels. Systems shall inspect small cargo at U.S. land, air or sea Ports of Entry. Contractors shall deliver systems, operator training and logistical support services. Equipment deliveries shall be within five months from receipt of a delivery order. Performance requirements are as indicated in the attached draft RFP.

Proposal are not requested at this time. However, comments or questions regarding the draft must be submitted by email and received by the contracting officer no later than close of business June 26, 2008.

Vendors should note that the final RFP will be made available with a response time of not more than 15 days, through an amendment to this same FedBizOpps notice.
