Description
PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Disaster Prevention and Response Branch, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has a requirement for a mine ventilation fan.
This requirement is solicited as a small business set-aside. The CDC intends to award a single Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.
Specifications
Purchase of a Vane Axial Direct Drive Fan that is 75 HP with a 460VAC motor. Volume/CFM of the fan is 120,000. RPM of the motor is 870. The fan diameter is 72 inches. The fan must be controlled by an adjustable speed controller ?Variable frequency drive? which can control the CFM anywhere from a low of 500 CFM to a high of 120,000 CFM. The fan must also have an inlet bell with screen and a 6? outlet cone with screen. We also need a transition piece that goes from 6? round to 7? high by 10? wide rectangular section that is 10? long. FOB destination to: Lake Lynn Laboratory, 2546 Springhill Furnace Rd (Rt. 857) Lake Lynn, PA 15451. Anticipated delivery within 10 weeks upon receipt of order.
