Synopsis:

The USDA Forest Service, Schenck Job Corps Center located in Pisgah Forest, NC 28768-9718. The mission of the Job Corps is to provide academic, vocational and life learning skills to youths at-risk. The Schenck Job Corps Center seeks a physician to provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary to perform medical services to the students of Schenck Civilian Conservation Center. ------------------------This requirement is advertised in accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12. Set-aside Status, This is a 100% small business set-aside, and all bids received must be at a fair market price. . The performance period is July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 with an option for four additional years. Prior to award the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for this project is 621111 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. All responsible sources that meet the outlined criteria may submit a proposal. The Government plans to award a firm fixed price contract for a base period with 4 option years. A contract will be awarded with discussions resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors as outlined in the solicitation considered. Labor, services, transportation, insurance, permits and license/certifications and all other materials as required by the state of North Carolina and the Department of Labor will be provided by the Contractor to complete the work as described (except for Government-furnished property or facilities as outlined in the solicitation.) ----------------------The solicitation will be posted to this website-FedBizOpps-for downloading and will provide all necessary information for offerors to prepare and submit a proposal.
