Synopsis:

The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612, intends to award a requirements contract for medical cylinder gases. The gases include compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty medical gas mixtures. All medical gases shall conform to specifications prescribed in the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary. All medical gas manufacturers and fillers of medical gases shall be registered with the FDA; and all medical gases shall be manufactured, processed, packed, transported, and stored according to the FDAs Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) regulations and Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 210, 211 and 201 for labeling. Normal delivery shall be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday unless that day is an observed holiday. A designated VA employee will coordinate and monitor all deliveries. Delivery includes pick up and refill of emptied cylinders, and return of a filled, serviceable cylinder. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by this agency. All quotes shall be submitted electronically via email to marvin.butler@va.gov. Electronic version of solicitation will be available at the following URL: https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about August 11, 2008. A site visit will be scheduled on or about August 19, 2008. The estimated closing date for this solicitation will be on or about September 4, 2008. Any amendments or additional information issued to this solicitation will also be available electronically at the URL address. Offerors are responsible for obtaining any and all amendments or additional information. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this RFQ. Award will be made based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation.
