Please provide the project number or description, contact name, company name, shipping address, phone and fax number, and contact email address, when requesting the solicitations. =====================================================================================PURPOSE: The Maryland Environmental Service is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Contractors to provide skilled and general labor services at the Hart Miller (HMI) & Poplar Islands and Cox Creek & Masonville Dredged Material Containment Facilities (DMCFs). The work includes furnishing employees on an as-needed basis as scheduled by MES. The labor services described in the specifications are separated into three (3) categories: Un-skilled, Skilled and Driver services. Category 1: Un-Skilled labor: General laborer for general site work such as but not limited to cleaning offices, clean up of the outside grounds of the sites, landscape clean up, manual labor, carrying supplies and materials, digging dirt with a shovel, etc. Category 2: Skilled labor: Same as Category 1 plus ability to handle and operate tools such as but not limited to hammers, saws, power tools, etc. Category 3: Driver Services: Same as Category 2 plus ability to drive on site vehicles and equipment such as but not limited to off road dump trucks, roller, etc. BONDING REQUIREMENTS: There are no bonding requirements for this project. CONTRACT TERM: The term of this contract shall be (3) three years from the date of Notice to Proceed. The Service reserves the right to renew the contract for up to one additional (3) three-year period. MBE SUBCONTRACT PARTICIPATION: There is no MBE subcontract participation goal for this solicitation. It is the stated policy of the Maryland Environmental Service to encourage Minority Business Enterprise participation on all State contracts where there is an opportunity to do so.
