Synopsis:

The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Carson, Colorado intends to issue a solicitation for the operation of the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP). Work will include, but is not limited to, TMP operations and management, vehicle dispatch and management , bus operations, and vehicle operator training, testing and licensing. The Government anticipates a solicitation release date on or about 8 August 2007. All prospective offerors shall be required to attend a mandatory site-visit of the Fort Carson TMP fac ility, on or about 15 August 2007. In response to the solicitation, when issued, and as part of any proposal; the contractor shall provide a Performance Work Statement (PWS) and a Quality Control Plan (QCP) that have been tailored to meet the Governments objective as outlined in the Statement of Objective, which will be issued with the solicitation. Award of a Firm Fixed-Price contract is anticipated; and award will be made to the offeror who provides a proposal that best meets the Governments objective. All requirements, evaluation criteria, basis for contract award, site visit date, and proposal due date will be provided as part of the solicitation package. The anticipated period of performance will consist of a one year base period of performance plus f our one-year option periods of performance, should the Government choose to exercise them. The rough order of magnitude for the total requirement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This procurement is set-aside 100% for 8(a) small business concerns on ly; that are SBA certifed in the 8(a) program under NAICS Code 485999 and meet the small business size standard of $6.5 Million. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be actively registered in the Centra l Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov.
