Synopsis:

THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO CHANGE SOLICITATION W52H09-07-R-0240 FROM SOLE-SOURCE TO AN 8(a)COMPETITIVE SET-ASIDE.

THE ITEM TO PROCURE IS A M203 LEAF SIGHT AND GRABBER ASSEMBLY (1010-01-453-5387-P/N 12598117) AND THE FOLLOWING SPARES: RAIL GRABBER ASSEMBLY (5340-01-466-7727-P/N 12598130), QUADRANT SIGHT SPACER (5365-01-441-7384-P/N 12598113),SIGHT LEAF (1005-01-454-5541-P/N 12598129) AND BASE LEAF BASE (1010-01-441-5507-P/N 12012037). THE PARTS ARE MACHINED FROM ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATE 7075-T6 WITH A HARD ANODIC COATING FINISH OR STEEL, 4130 OR 1095, HEAT TREATMENT TO ROCKWELL HARDNESS C 30-49 WITH PHOSPHATE BASE AND OIL TREATMENT FINISH PER SPECIFICATION. The proposed contract is an 8(a) Competitive Set-aside. Requirements are for a 5 Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with minimum guaranteed quantities of 10,000 ea. Leaf Sight and Grabber Assembly and 3,000 ea. Rail Grabber Assembly. FOB is Origin. For use on the M203 Grenade Launcher. Estimated issue date is 15 August 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
