Description
Q1. 4.5.13 Target Impact Verification states that the Celotex test ???shall be performed simultaneously with the lock cylinder breaching test at up to 3 inches.???     However, in 4.5.13a for conformance inspection, it is a separate test from the breaching test.     Is the intent to test the blowback of the lock cylinder during breaching, or to test blowback in general as stated in the conformance inspection?     We believe that attempting to test target impact during breaching may obscure the breaching test results due to the difficulty of shooting at such a small target thru a blinder and would like to know if we can test target impact according to conformance inspection methods.     This is the same for 4.5.14 Projectile Ballistic Integrity Verification. A1. Target impact verification is conducted during design verification, First Article Test, and conformance inspection.     4.5.13 details the procedure for target impact verification during design verification and FAT.     4.5.13a details the procedure for target impact verification during conformance inspection.     There are no known issues with testing for target impact verification during breaching verification.     Since the target is only 3 inches from the shotgun, there is no issue with aiming.
