Synopsis:

Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region has arequirement for

a battery for the Lusk Town Substation Battery Bank. The battery shall be

a

rechargeable nominal 125 Volt, 58-cell, heavy-duty, valve-regulated,

lead-acid

stationary type with lead-calcium alloy grids designed for switchgear and

control applications in a high voltage electrical power substation. Also

included in the requirement is the pickup and recycling of the old battery

in

accordance with Federal, State, and local environmental laws and

regulations.

The solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS

Code

is 335911 and the applicable size standard is 500 employees. The

solicitation

(Request for Quotes) is attached. Quotes may be mailed, faxed, or

e-mailed.

Contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and



Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in order to be



considered for award. Contractors may register for CCR at www.ccr.gov and

register for ORCA at https://orca.bpn.gov/. A DUNS number is required for

CCR

registration. Contractors CCR registration must include the NAICS code

specified above and Contractor must meet the size standard applicable to

the

NAICS. Quotes are due by 2:00 PM Mountain Time on Friday, August 29, 2008.
