During the summer of 2006 Wood Lake Campground was reconstructed which included the installation of new picnic tables. These tables are made of concrete which consists of, concrete pads with sockets for concrete uprights, concrete table and bench planks, and steel angle brackets that attach the upright supports to the planks.
The Government desires to replace the table and bench tops with the purchase and installation of 70 new planks for 14 tables. Fagenstrom Company, 2101 Northwest Bypass, Great Falls, Montana is the custom source for these planks. In addition, five table planks are to be delivered to the Information Station in Augusta, Mt. for future use as spares.
Wood Lake Campground is located approximately 22 miles west of Augusta, MT on Forest Road #235. At the south edge of Augusta take the County Road that is marked by a sign indicating the route to Benchmark and follow this road approximately 14 miles. Then at the junction of Forest Road #233 turn left onto Forest Road #235 and proceed another 8 miles to Wood Lake Campground.
