| Opportunity Summary |
The Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution located in Pendleton, Oregon includes a
Powerhouse Building with an 80-year-old chimney that is in need of restorative work.
Specific design services requested are 1) a complete inspection of the chimney, 2) a
detailed report of the findings for Owner's review, and 3) complete detailed
recommendations for all necessary repairs. Previous inspections and testing of the
materials have documented that the chimney was painted utilizing lead based paint and has a
presence of Asbestos Containing Materials. The chimney has surface cracking and an
antiquated service ladder that needs to be removed. The work will also include the
installation of additional metal tensioning bands, as necessary, and the installation of a
lightning arrest system.
A MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 A.M., FEBRUARY 7, 2008, AT EOCI, 2500
WESTGATE, PENDLETON, OREGON. A BACKGROUND CHECK FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 48
HOURS PRIOR TO THE MEETING. THE FORM IS AVAILABLE AS AN ATTACHMENT TO RFP #3764.
